What's causing the change in appearance of WhatsApp on your Android device?

If you're using WhatsApp on an Android device, you may notice a significant change in its appearance, as Meta has implemented alterations to the app's design.

Reports indicate that WhatsApp has been planning a user interface overhaul for some time, and it's now rolled out to users' mobile devices. Following this update, the design of WhatsApp on Android devices has undergone significant changes, notably with the relocation of the top tabs for chats, communities, status, and calls to the bottom of the interface.
Above the WhatsApp home feed, you'll now notice a white header instead of the previous green one. The status tab has been renamed, and a green color theme has been introduced for users utilizing dark mode. Additionally, changes have been made to chat bubble colors and floating action buttons. Notably, tabs can now be accessed by swiping left or right, adding a new navigation option.
