Punjab Kings Face Setback as Key Fast Bowler Kagiso Rabada Sidelined Due to Soft Tissue Injury.
As per reports from foreign media, South African speedster Kagiso Rabada has encountered a soft tissue infection during IPL 2024. Regrettably, he will no longer be participating in the league due to this arm injury.
Up to this point in the Indian Premier League, Rabada has claimed 11 wickets in 11 matches with an impressive average of 8.85. However, the lower arm infection has compelled him to depart from India.
Rabada will sit out Punjab Kings' remaining matches against Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, as the team has been eliminated from playoff contention. Consequently, the management has opted to release him.
However, the 28-year-old fast bowler is anticipated to make a comeback for South Africa in the T20 World Cup, slated to commence on June 2.
Cricket South Africa has assured that Rabada's injury is under close observation by the medical team, considering the forthcoming mega tournament.
