Babar Azam Inches Closer to Breaking the Record of the 1992 World Cup Winning Captain.

National cricket team captain Babar Azam is on the brink of surpassing the record set by the iconic former captain who led Pakistan to victory in the ODI World Cup back in 1992.

The former legendary champion cricketer Imran Khan led the Pakistan team in 187 matches, securing victories in 89 of them, while facing defeat in 67 matches. Additionally, 26 Test matches ended in draws, with one match resulting in a tie.
Currently, the national cricket team's captain, Babar Azam, is just 10 matches away from eclipsing the record set by the iconic cricketer Imran Khan, who famously guided Pakistan to victory in the ICC World Cup in 1992.
Babar Azam has made significant strides towards surpassing Imran Khan's record for the most wins, overtaking former captain Wasim Akram, who currently occupies the second position on the list. Babar requires only 11 more matches to achieve this milestone.
Babar Azam has amassed considerable experience leading the national team, having captained in 138 matches to date. Among these, he has led the team to victory in 79 matches, faced defeat in 44 encounters, while four matches ended in draws, and one concluded with a tie.
It's worth mentioning that Wasim Akram currently holds the third position with 78 victories as captain. Following closely behind, Misbah-ul-Haq and Inzamam-ul-Haq occupy the fourth and fifth spots with 66 victories each, solidifying their places among Pakistan's cricketing greats.
