Every year in Pakistan, no fewer than 128,000 individuals succumb to the effects of different ailments brought about by air pollution.

The World Health Organization has released a report indicating that Pakistan is among the most heavily polluted nations globally, with its two major cities, Karachi and Lahore, bearing the brunt of air pollution. A study by the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago suggests that the escalating levels of air pollution could potentially reduce the average life expectancy of Pakistanis by up to seven years.

The World Health Organization highlights Pakistan as one of the most polluted nations. Additionally, according to the WHO, approximately 97.3% of the global population is impacted by air pollution, resulting in around 6.5 million deaths annually worldwide.
