Sri Lankan Cricket Board Confirms: Pakistan Tour to Proceed as Scheduled

In a recent statement, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Board has confirmed that the national team will continue its ongoing tour of Pakistan as planned, dispelling rumors of any cancellation or delay.
The announcement comes amid speculation following recent security concerns in the region. However, the Sri Lankan Cricket Board reaffirmed its confidence in the arrangements made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and local authorities, citing their professionalism and strong security protocols.
“We have complete trust in the security measures provided by the PCB and the Government of Pakistan. The tour will proceed according to the original schedule,” said an SLC spokesperson.
The Sri Lankan team is currently in Pakistan for a multi-format series, including ODI and T20I matches. Cricket fans from both nations have welcomed the decision, viewing it as a positive step toward strengthening cricketing ties and promoting international sports in the region.
