Saeed Ahmed, born in Jalandhar in 1937, migrated to Pakistan with his parents after the country's establishment. He marked his international cricket debut in 1958 against the West Indies, and over the span of 1958 to 1973, he represented Pakistan in 41 Test matches
During his Test career, the former captain amassed a total of 2991 runs and also claimed 22 wickets.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed profound sorrow and extended condolences to the family members of Saeed Ahmed upon his passing.
