"Scientists Astound with Breakthrough in Solar Panel Technology"

A groundbreaking collaboration between researchers from the University of Cambridge, Monash University, the University of Sydney, and the University of New South Wales has unveiled an innovative solar panel. What's remarkable about this new technology is its flexibility, a characteristic previously unseen in traditional solar panels.

An international team of scientists has accomplished this breakthrough by employing an innovative method to attach solar cells onto flexible rolls, as reported by an international news agency. Perovskite solar cells, composed primarily of a transparent plastic layer, offer remarkable flexibility, enabling diverse applications. The name "perovskite" is derived from the mineral calcium titanium oxide, initially discovered in the Ural Mountains, and pays homage to the Russian mineralogist Leo Perovski.
Additionally, perovskite solar cells offer the advantage of compatibility with silicon cells, enhancing power generation efficiency. However, it's worth noting that the majority of perovskite solar cells in use today rely on perovskite materials containing lead.
Also, being transparent, it can be applied as a film on various surfaces, especially vehicles.
