Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Sign Agreement for Hajj 2026 Arrangements
News:
In a significant development for the facilitation of Pakistani pilgrims, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have officially signed an agreement for Hajj 2026 arrangements. The agreement aims to ensure a smoother, more organized, and technology-driven pilgrimage experience for Pakistani citizens.
The signing ceremony took place in Jeddah, where Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs, along with Saudi Hajj and Umrah officials, finalized the details of the upcoming Hajj operations.
Under the new agreement, both nations have committed to enhancing digital services, accommodation quality, transportation facilities, and health assistance for pilgrims. The plan also includes the introduction of an online portal to streamline the visa, registration, and training processes for Hajj applicants from Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Pakistani minister expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for its continued support and cooperation in managing Hajj operations. He emphasized that the 2026 Hajj will be “more transparent, accessible, and comfortable” for pilgrims, thanks to the use of advanced technology and improved coordination.
The Saudi authorities, meanwhile, reaffirmed their commitment to offering world-class facilities to all pilgrims and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in maintaining discipline and organization during previous Hajj seasons.
The agreement also focuses on reducing travel congestion, providing better catering and lodging options, and expanding medical assistance for elderly and special-needs pilgrims.
This partnership marks another milestone in the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, strengthening religious, cultural, and diplomatic ties between the two brotherly nations.
