Lahore: Former Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz has been officially appointed as the consultant for the Pakistan Women’s National Cricket Team, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday.
According to the PCB, Wahab’s appointment aims to strengthen the team’s overall performance, enhance bowling skills, and bring strategic depth to the women’s side ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
Wahab, who recently served as the chief selector for the men’s team, will now share his vast international experience with the women’s squad, focusing on player development, tactical awareness, and match preparation.
Speaking about his new role, Wahab said he was honored to contribute to the growth of women’s cricket in Pakistan.
